Highwoods Properties, established in 1978, is a publicly-traded real estate investment trust that has an ownership interest in more than 440 in-service office, industrial and retail properties in nine states in the Midwest, Eastern and Southeast United States. It also owns more than 800 acres of development-grade land. Highwoods also provides leasing, management, development, construction and other customer-related services for its properties and for third parties.
