Located in Redding, Calif., Parsons Junior High School serves students in grades six through eight. The school offers a variety of advanced, standard and sheltered courses. Parsons Junior High School offers elective programs, including Spanish, leadership and television production, visual arts, music, band, computers, reading lab, math lab, yearbook and teacher s aide. The school also offers an after-school care program that includes homework and tutoring sessions, participation in a variety of activities, such as jujitsu, flag team, a jazz ensemble, ceramics, golf club, Christian club, science Olympiad and the student government. Additionally, the school also offers an extracurricular sports program, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, cross-country, wrestling, tennis, cheer leading, track, softball, baseball and noon-time intramural sports.
