The Stepparent Adoption Center is the home of the $1,500 flat-fee stepparent adoption. This includes all legal services by adoption attorney, Randall Hicks, who has 32 years experience as an adoption attorney. The flat fee even includes the court filing fee, so there are no other costs to you other than the required investigation fee ($344 in Riverside; $700 in San Bernardino). The $1,500 flat fee covers everything in most uncontested adoptions: preparing and filing the adoption petition in court, preparing the consents and other required legal documents, contacting the absent parent to encourage signing the consent, working with the court social worker who approves the adoption, and setting the final court hearing and appearing with you in court. Randy even prepares the paperwork that will create the new birth certificate for the child, listing the stepparent as a biological parent, and changing the child's name, if desired.
