I signed up for service in July and pre-paid for 3 months yet here we are in September and no one can seem to answer or return any of my calls or pick up my trash! It has almost been a week since my trash should have been picked up. If you choose to have service with them DO NOT EXPECT them to honor the deal you make. Trash is suppose to be picked up on Thursday morning's for us and I am lucky if they come on Friday or Saturday. It is a joke! Normally I can have patience with a company because I understand things happen and people run behind but the fact my trash has not been picked up in a week and NO ONE can answer the phone or return messages is just disrespectful considering I have already paid them for the services. This is extremely frustrating, based on the lack of communication from the owners of this company I will not be paying for another round of service when I receive a bill. Wanted to give the small guys a chance instead of going with a bigger company but that is proving to be a huge mistake. Sad they can not honor the agreements they make with their customers or provide basic customer service.

Absolutely DO NOT recommend this very shady company! When I bought my house in 2016 I used them because they are a small local business. I moved out and cancelled me service in 2017. I have since moved back into the house in may of this year. When the tenant I had renting the house moved out all of a sudden I began getting auto-bill notifications again. I thought this was fishy and tried to call them and even left messages. Luckily for me the card that was on file had expired in 2017 so it kept declining. I now just got another bill from them even though I do not use them and haven’t since early 2017.

We have used Trashman for a few years now without any issues. Now, much like the majority of the reviews on here, they seem to have no interest in taking care of their customers or maintaining their customer base; Not smart if they want to stay in business. This week, I left my trash can and a large cardboard box at the end of the driveway. The box was 2/3 filled with garbage from cleaning out my garage. I have done this exact thing numerous times before with no issue. This time, the box was left alone while the can was dumped. I called Tuesday @ 4:30 PM (Tuesday AM pickup) and left a message. I received a return call Wednesday AM. Although the woman was not rude, as many people have reported, she seemed annoyed at having to call me and have the conversation. She stated that she would call the driver to ask why the box had not been picked up and would call me back. She did not call me back as promised. I left another message at 5 PM on Wednesday. She returned the call Thursday AM and, in the same 'I don't give a damn about you' tone, claimed that she had tried to call me back "all day" but it just "rang and rang". So she starts of the conversation with a lie! She continues to tell me that her trashman was running the route by himself on Tuesday and said that the box was too heavy for him to pick up by himself. I explained that the box was IN NO WAY too heavy as I was able to pick it up and move it and I have a bad back, arthritis, and a heart condition. She retorted that it was "his personal preference" and that "we're really not supposed to pick up anything that is not in our can." REALLY? So, at Christmas they're just going to leave all of the cardboard boxes from their customers gifts at the end of the driveway??? I told her that we would be finding a new trash-collection service as soon as the pre-payment was exhausted. She seemed as if she couldn't care less. If poor service with a bad attitude is what you want, do business with these guys!

I switched to this company almost 20 years ago when I purchased my house the realtor had another company that was rude obnoxious and I saw the flyer and called the Trashman and my can was delivered by the owner the next day> It is a family owned and operated business and I love supporting a local business especially when they are so pleasant to deal with. Everyone makes mistakes and a couple times I forgot to pay on time and called and made payment over the phone and they circled back through my street and picked up my trash. Not many companies will do that, not to mention when I had extra stuff big like broken desk and chair wouldnt fit in can I called day before and they even picked that up for a few dollars extra! I see others having not nice things to say but the neighbors I have that actually OWN their house in our subdivision use them. Renters usually switch from one to the next when they don't pay bill so they owe every company that services this area and usually bad mouth the company when it was their own fault for not paying the bill in forever and not even calling to make arrangements to pay. I would recommend them, couldn't ask for a better and polite company!

I had been less than happy with services from this trash collection service for failure to pick up my trash weekly, as contracted. After posting a negative rating I was contacted right away by the company and my trash was removed. I was advised that this wouldn't happen again by a concerned and responsive service representative. At the end of the day, the trash is gone, so I have increased their rating.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I called to set up service, the girl that answered the phone asked if she could call me back after she finished feeding her dog! Really?!?! She NEVER called back. So, if you are in the Polk County area, there is a company called Jacks Trash Service, they are alot friendlier and CHEAPER!! I don't see how this company stays in business with the very unprofessional girl that answers the phone!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Time & time again I haven't received a bill! They call & ask when am I gonna have the payment in yet I never received 1 freaking bill! They are a crappy operation. Some little smart Ellic girl that runs the whole operation who needs to get her sh*t together! I don't see this so called "busisness" lasting long.

They go outta there way to provide a great service. Couldn't ask for any better. Friendly and polite employees do an excellent and speedy service

I've used Trashman Sanitation since I bought my house in 2002, and they provide outstanding service! Always helpful when I call with any billing question or concern...Selling my house and wish I would still be in the area they provide service to...

I have had this service for many years. They have always provided outstanding service. I am very pleased.

I don't have this service. I don't WANT this service. But they won't come pick up their can that was there from the previous homeowners. I'd give them 3 stars if they would get their can out of my driveway. I've asked 3 times. Terrible business model.

Poor customer service. Didn't receive a bill last month. I ALWAYS pay on time. Got a bill for over double the amount yesterday. Trash hasn't been picked up all week & she said it was because of my bill wasn't paid yet the whole neighborhood has full trash cans & when I mentioned that she stated "I can't discuss their service" with a very rude attitude. Definitely would cancel my service if we had a truck to take it off ourselves.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They will charge your card extra money and wont pick up your trash. When you call and ask why they didnt get your trash a smart ellic girl gets on the phone and says the driver checked he picked it up. Then she will say someone will come puck it up that evening but no one one comes. My trash has not been picked up many times and they dont care if it gets picked up ir not. They charge you in advance and charge extra fees they dont tell you about. Bad business do not use these people.

Called to pay bill and took out extra fees that I was not made aware of and took it upon themselves to charge another 3 months on my card without asking or telling me. I told them I was calling my 3 month's service that the held off for a month until I had the money. I was refunded 3 months service that i hadnt gitten to yet and never sent a bill to start next three at first of january. So the day after Christmas my trash is sitting out there and the decided not to pick it up. I called and the said my trash wasnt out there when I out it out there Christmas night. This isnt the first time that their drivers dont want to do there job. Everytime the come pick ip they are bitxhing about doing their job. So they tell me it will be picked up by Monday. Well a guy shows up in his oickup truck and get their trash can and leaves our other one. I guess this is there way of saying they dont want my money anymore. Worthless trash service. Tried them again because they lowered their prices lower than competitors. Big mistake. NEVER AGAIN. They had to lower prices to gain more customers they list because the are worthless.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!



I paid for three months in advance and cancelled due to information that was given to me after the fact and they call my payment NONREFUNDABLE! There are way better companies in the are that are not rude to you when you call and earn a honest living not cheating someone out of their hard earned money! I have never!
