We brought our Nissan Rogue in for a state inspection and it passed with no problem. I specifically asked if the brakes were good because I thought it was starting to make a noise. I do not know much about cars so I depend on the knowledge of an honest mechanic. He assured me that the breaks were fine at 82% so I went home. Three weeks later it started making a harsh metal on metal sound so we made an appointment and brought it back. We were told we need all new brakes and new rear rotors. There is no way we wore down 82% of our brakes down to the rotors in just three weeks. This brings me to the conclusion that nobody ever looked at our brakes. This is the most unsafe inspection you can get. When we showed them the paperwork from the inspection they refused to take responsibility.
