They have remodeled, everything was fresh and clean. The staff was great. The breakfast was good and they kept restocking items that ran out.

My husband and I were in DeKalb, IL for a few days and wanted to go to an event at the fairgrounds in St. Charles, IL the next day. DeKalb is about halfway to St. Charles from our home; so instead of driving home, we decided to stay at the Super 8 in St. Charles overnight. It's nothing fancy, but everything was clean (old but clean), the beds were comfortable and the price was very economical. I have to mention the big comfortable recliner - WOW was that GREAT! We were able to chill out after our DeKalb adventure and went to a wonderful Greek restaurant a few miles down the street called Odyssey (ask for a map of St. Charles at the hotel and you get a free hors d'oeuvre). There was no hassle with check-in or check-out. The breakfast was coffee, juice, milk and a bagel but it was a good bagel. You could also have some cereal or donuts or toast. We were so close to the fairgrounds that getting there at 8am was no hassle at all. What a great experience!

We stay at this location when in the area. Always nice and clean, friendly staff, safe location .

Inexpensive and clean. Very helpful staff. Breakfast is a little lighter than I would like, but it's free. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. parking is right outside the window, which I like. It's also well lit. Nearby places of interest and right off the highway.

Well, to me the key things are quiet clean rooms, good breakfast and Wi-Fi. And the hotel checked off all of those boxes. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was basic (juice, yogurt, waffles, toasts with jam), but satisfying. Wi-Fi was not very fast, but I got by.Staff was hit or miss, some people looked friendlier than others, but they all did their job at the end, so that's good. The location is perfect, close to the highway but not too close. Free parking and plenty of shops and restaurants around.Yes, it's still a budget hotel, so the decor is stuck in 80s and everything says "basic" but that makes the price stay low.Overall, I stayed there 2 nights and I'd come back if needed. You can surely have a good rest here.

Room was clean and up to date. Nice stay for the price in this area. The staff was friendly, and very knowledgeable of surrounding areas. The continental breakfast was good. Would recommend this hotel.

It was clean and quiet. The location is great with everything you need near by. The staff was very friendly too.

this was our 7th year staying here we keep coming back nice people to do business with be back again next year

I reserved a room at the St. Charles Super 8 as a Christmas present for my grandson who loves to swim so he could use the indoor swimming pool.

Somewhat remodeled. Clean rooms. Friendly Staff. Gave me a discount on my dog. Direct TV. Plus its the most inexpensive hotel in St Charles. Microwave and Fridge in rooms. Wifi was fast. i liked it and will stay again.

The hotel was a good price and a good location to our friend's wedding.

We had a pleasant stay.We were given the handicap room since it was the only thing available on the first floor. It served our needs well.

First rate experience. Friendly staff. Room was well appointed, bed was comfortable, and quiet area. Nice layout in the room. Highly recommended for that area.

The beds were quite comfortable, the bathroom clean, and temperature controls worked well .

Honestly after reading the reviews, I was uncertain about this place...But booked anyway and brought my own sheets, because the price was great and the location was perfect.

As it turned out, all my fears were unwarranted. The staff was friendly and helpful, Jim the manager was extremely good to me, and Ken the night desk guy was always around, even when I thought he'd be sleeping.

Stayed on the 3rd floor - room 310, and it was clean, everything worked, and the sheets were clean and bug free. hmm this seemed like another hotel than the one everyone was complaining about.

Stayed 3 nights, and the first morning the breakfast was a bit weak, but they improved it the next two days and had a much better selection of foods and fresh fruit.

This was definately a better stay than I had anticipated, and I would suggest this location to other travelers.

Room was as expected near handicap parking entrance. As a frequent visitor, I should have expected and received a discount but was given a hard time stating it is a room for 2 & I paid for same where other hotes/motels give respect for same.

Please review my stays & suggest to mgrs/owners. I feel I should receive same room for discounts. Thanking you in advance. More reservations soon. Elaine

Pleasant experience. Restful. The thing I liked most about my stay in St. Charles at Super 8 was the easy in and out. I was in a hurry.
