The St. Cloud Housing and Redevelopment Authority provides affordable housing and economic and community development opportunities to low-income families. Established in 1966, it administers several housing programs for the citizens of St. Cloud, Benton, Sherburne and Wright counties in Minnesota. The authority s administers Section 8 Rental Assistance Program, which provides financial assistance to eligible participants to rent affordable units, including apartments, duplexes, townhomes, and single-family and modular homes in the private sector. In addition, it operates the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency Rehabilitation Loan Program, which provides a 30-year loan with no payments to low-income homeowners for home improvements.
