Shavano KOA is the perfect spot for high country recreation. Campers will be captivated by the views of Salida, surrounding national forests and mountain peaks. You'll discover adventure in every direction! Mt. Shavano (one of Colorado's famed "fourteeners") rises up north of this KOA; trails wind through wildflower meadows and all the way to the summit. From the campground, Highway 50 provides a scenic drive, climbing west for about 13 miles to Monarch Pass, where an aerial tram climbs even higher, up to 12,000 feet. Your camp hosts can...
