Philip R. Cohen, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who practices medical dermatology with special interest in skin-cancer and skin-related side effects of cancer treatment.As a professor in the Department of Dermatology, Dr. Cohen trains medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He especially enjoys mentoring students in writing medical literature.Dr. Cohen completed fellowships in dermatopathology at University of Texas, Houston Health Science Center and in Mohs micrographic surgery at the Dermatologic Surgery Center of Houston. He did residencies in dermatology at The College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University and University of Texas, Houston Health Science Center after earning his medical degree from New York Medical College.
