The very first funeral home I visited was as a child. It was then Frey Funeral Home which eventually became Groff. In fact, the majority of funeral visits and funerals I have been to were at these two locations. So, when dad passed away there was no question who to call. My sister and I were never hurried in our decisions. The entire staff was patient and accommodating.

One hour before dad's funeral, I received a call from my daughter who was picking mom up at assisted living. Mom had lost consciousness and was rushed to the ER. Leon made sure my sisters and I went to be with her. He sent the guests and rest of the family to the luncheon until further notice. Four hours later, we were able to have dad's funeral with mom in attendance. At the cemetery, due to the cold and snow, Leon again took all steps to make sure mom was comfortable and able to participate in our final farewell to dad.

Five weeks later, mom passed away. There was no doubt in my mind who to contact. This time again the Groff staff made arrangements uncomplicated for us, listened again to our stories, and never once made us feel hurried.
