Bios is one of the leading social service organizations in the United States. Located in Sapulpa, Okla., the organization has been operational for more than 30 years. It offers specialized vocational and residential care to more than 5,000 people annually. Bios also helps developmentally disabled individuals and their families, and offers work programs in cooperation with various grocery stores, restaurants, warehouses and other businesses. Founded by Eddie Miller, Linda Meyers and Glenn Salley, the organization also offers behavioral health services, family violence prevention programs, foster parent support, parental education, emergency shelter, supervised visitation, therapeutic child center, student assistance programs, short-term counseling, referrals for services, peer and staff training, and crisis intervention programs.
