The Chatham County Sheriff's Department serves various civil processes, subpoenas and orders from probate, magistrate, state and superior courts. In addition, the sheriff s department receives and executes criminal warrants originating from various courts. Located in Savannah, Ga., the Chatham County Sheriff's Department maintains a countywide communication center that is responsible for the alerting and support of fire departments, ambulance services, response units, search and rescue, disaster and emergency services and local government agencies.
