Provided by YP.comYou should absolutely go here. It's not for everyone - their marketing is abysmal. They have no sense of how to promote the "sizzle". It's very hard to find, down a warren of corridors, in the basement, and the only sign is a sign out on the sidewalk when they are open. It is to the immediate west of Great Harvest Bread Company, and also next to Bop Street Records - a glass door. They have a F A N T A S T I C collection of the kinds of books you like - secret societies, energy work, chakra and breath work, government coverups, first-person UFO abduction stories, scholarly work on ancient archeological sites that show that human society is tens of thousands of years old, new research on mind-meld technlogies, NLP, Rudolf Steiner, etc. More than anyone can possibly handle in one lifetime. They are only open afternoons, but I think there are some evening programs too.
You'll love it. You have to pay $35 and join if you want to take out books, but anyone can sit and read.
