McCarty Mechanical is a family owned business originally founded in 1949 and located in Merriam, Kansas. The present owner, Ed McCarty purchased the company in 1968. Ed s son Tim joined the firm in 1988. Tim has a degree in Construction Science from KSU and three years prior experience in commercial HVAC industry. Today we have a staff of 14 people. We install and service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, radiant floor systems, and duct work for your home and business. In addition to our regular business hours, we have a technician on call to respond to any emergency heating and air conditioning needs. Dick Allen joined the company in January of 2001 to handle outside sales and system design. Dick has over 30 years experience in Heating and Air Conditioning systems design and sales. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover, and offer several options for financing ( on new installations only ).

Spectacular heating-cooling company. I'm very picky about contractors after having bad experiences in the past. McCarty Mechanical is the only company I want to do business with for heating-cooling. I recently had to have my furnace and AC coil replaced for the winter. They came out quickly to give me an estimate. The cost was reasonable for what I needed done. They scheduled the work to get it done right away. The installer they sent was great. He was prompt and courteous. He got the work done quickly and competently. No better company in the Kansas City Metro area for Heating-Cooling work.

BTW, we have used McCarty since we bought our house 15 years ago. Always great to deal with and very prompt and courteous. I'm sorry to see that this other reviewer had a bad experience. I've never had anything less than perfect service over the years.

I had a very dissapointing exp...

I had a very dissapointing experience with the people in this company...I didn't even get a chance to have them work on my AC unit because they couln't find my appointment. The day I called to see what is going on they blamed me for not making one....Let's see...it's 95 degress outside, I am miserably hot and I didn't call my AC guys! Why am I playing games?? So...I made another appointment for the next day..the "next day" came and NO AC guys! Called them again and they are blaming my husband for cancelling this appointment, again! The man on the phone was rude and blaming me..the customer, for their shorcomings. All I hear was how busy they are and "I should have been in his chair for the last 12 hours". I understand everyone has stressful days but you should be able to handle your own business or give it up to another company who can do this better. Sorry McCarthy, my business will go to someone else from now on...and I advice everyone else to do the same. Maybe the stress less will be less without customers. It's time to retire!!
