I feel I must warn the good people of Simsbury- BEWARE! Where do I begin? I had brought fabric in to have custom window treatments created. I made drawings with measurements and we discussed what I was looking for in detail. When I went to pick up my order 2 weeks later she said she "wasn't finished". When I went back the 2nd time I was told cash or check only, however there is no sign or notification anywhere so I had to leave and find an ATM for cash. When I returned home the job was not completed. 3 out of 4 window treatments were finished. I called her that very morning and left a detailed message with no return phone call. Once I finally got ahold of her she acted as if I was the one who was confused. After finally agreeing to finish the job I returned again to drop of the remaining fabric. She promised to have it finished by Saturday. She called Saturday to say yet again she wasn't finished. We agreed on a Monday pick up. When I went in on Monday guess what?! NOT FINISHED!! She actually hadn't even started! I calmly expressed my deep frustration and she was anything but understanding. She was rude and unapologetic. No way to run a business. I strongly recommend you not waste your money or time!

I brought my dress in to be hemmed. We agreed on a length, but when I tried it on, it seemed too long. Meral immediately volunteered to hem it over again and besides that, she said I could pick it up in only two days. It ended up being the perfect length and she had a very happy customer. I decided to try Meral's after hearing from several people about how great she is. Her prices are reasonable and her work is exceptional. Highly recommend!

I brought in a bridesmaid dress to have altered. I had called ahead, explained the alterations, and was told she'd only need 2 weeks. After being fitted, I received verbal and written confirmation that the dress would be done in exactly 2 weeks. I returned on said date and she initially could not find my dress. When she did find it she informed me that she "forgot" and that she had not touched it since I was fitted. Although she worked all day to finish my order, she complained about having to work "after hours". Once the dress alterations were finished it fit appropriately, but the craftsmanship was shotty at best and still had chalk marks on it. As a remedy for forgetting to work on my dress for 2 weeks, she only took $10 off, which was already overpriced, and showed no understanding as to why I was upset or thought there should be a greater reduction. I regret taking my dress to this shop, and I will never use this shop again. If you want quality, reliable alterations I would strongly recommend using another business!
