We've camped there and enjoyed the hiking and amenities on two other occasions; a wonderful park. The campground is charming, with a shady grove of low-growing oaks, arms spread out. Our tent site was flat and the ground smooth. Each spot has water and a picnic table. You'll find an area for RVs, too, though we've only seen this; our camp was a car/tent version. Hiking at Ochlockonee is easy and plentiful, with tide-influenced river bank, open grassy or forested terrain. You can fish off of piers or launch your boat and fish secluded patches of river grass. This is also a great place to river kayak or water ski. The rangers are friendly, too and can provide lots of interesting ideas for things to do and see. This is a fun park for all ages and interests...except for rock climbers, that is!
