A family member presented with a condition that "is very common, and we deal with it every day", so two of the surgeons told us. Needless to say, 5 surgeries later, there was still part of the issue they completely neglected to get. The patient wound up going to a different surgeon who is trying to clean up their mess. Two years later, and 4 additional surgeries, it still is not resolved. All because the nw iowa surgeons did not want to admit they could not handle this. This patient is not the only one, as there are several others with the same issue.
