City of Spokane Engineering Services operates through construction management, design and developer services divisions. Its construction management section provides services for streets, bridges, bikeways, landscaping, signals and combined sewer overflow projects. The division s services include construction inspections, materials testing and certifications, negotiation of changed orders and auditing of public works construction contracts. The design division of City of Spokane Engineering Services is responsible for designing streets, sanitary sewers and storm water facilities. In addition, it is responsible for construction, design and management of traffic elements of projects. Its developer services division provides property information; facilitates the street vacation process; and performs plan review of proposed private projects. The division additionally performs occupancy inspections for completed private projects related to wastewater and storm water treatment issues, as well as routine sewer, street and sidewalk inspections.
