Illinois State Library, founded in 1839, offers access a variety of print and electronic resources. It provides resources on several disciplines, including science, law, literature, technology, geography, history, economics and medicine. It also offers a range of manuscripts, maps, phonebooks, photographs, directories, postcards, and census and military records.
