Provided by YP.comI searched the web trying to find a service that dectects leaks in pool systems & found Adhair. I explained my problems as best I could about our vinyl lined pool & Steve came out. After using a special instrument, he dove the pool & dye checked areas that seem to have leaks around the stairs & such. He found 4 leaks & repaired all 4. We've checked our water levels since the repairs & we've lost nothing. Very professional and thorought!

Provided by YP.comMy friend and I live in So. County and we had noticed a substantial water bill increase. We called the water company, they came out and they said that our leak was in our water line from the meter to our home. They gave us Adhair's phone number to confirm that the leak was there. We met Steve and he told us how he would attempt to locate the leak. The first thing he did was locate our water line and then proceeded to find the leak in this line. About an hour or so later, using more than one instrument, Steve explained that the leak was not in the yard but where the water line entered thru our basement wall. Should the need arise, we would recommend Adhair to anyone.

Provided by YP.comMy husband & I live in home built in the 20's in U-City. Our water bill from one quarter to the next tripled. We called the water company & they gave us a referral,Adhair. They came out & first conducted a water survey of our toilets & found three were leaking. Next they located the water line & finally they pin pointed the leak in our basement floor. It was the original line made of galvanized pipe & had rusted thru where it entered the basement. Very professional & courteous.

Provided by YP.comLast week our church called Adhair to help us with a leak in our radiant floor heating system. Steve Malone showed up & was very professional. He explained because of all the pipes in the floor to find the pipe leaking that he couldn't do it, but he said that he would get in the general area. He located the area & began listing & marked a spot he called "a best effort", but when we went to make the repairs, the leak area was off by 6 feet. We thought he would do better than that.
We're not sure how to respond, but this is a given; leak detection is not an exact science our contract even states it is "a best effort" with no guarantees.Locating a leak in a radiant heat system means only that you get within an area where the pipes are supposed to be & listen..they didn't know where the pipes were so we located & began searching. A sound was found that indicated a possible leak area. It was marked indicating an "area"...that's it.The leak was linear & not the size of a dinner plate...it was within 3FT of the locate,"best effort" enough said.

Provided by YP.comRecently on a Saturday we called Adhair kinda in an emergency to find a leak in our main water service. The leak was so bad you could hear the water running. Our problem was we didn't know if the leak was in the office area or the shop. After a few minutes using different equip they found it. The Saturday response is very appreciated.

Provided by YP.comI called Adhair about what I thought was a leak in my pool, I didn't want to close it if there was a leak. I'm not sure what all the tools they brought with them, but checked the structure, dove the pool & found no issues & then pressure tested all the lines, no leak, worth the money

Provided by YP.comOur pool was leaking water @ a substantial rate; when we uncovered our pool this spring, our water level had fell beneath the two main drains. We called Adhair & after several attempts to find the leak, they dove the pool & using dye they found out the pool was loosing water @ the wall by the main drain pipes. They could not fix these issues, it was structural problem. They did provide pictures of the issues

Provided by YP.comWe a small plumbing company that often is a subcontractor. Recently we were @ Chamanade HS trying to find a leak in a fire suppression line. We had pot-holed several places thinking we could find the leak, but no luck. We called Adhair, they traced the line from where the pipe was exposed back to the building. After several attempts @ 'listening", no leaks could be detected. They took water samples from the open ditches & found no chlorine, it was ground water. They did find the leak @ a nearby hydrant that wasn't apart of the other line. They didn't stop trying.

Provided by YP.comOur plumbing firm contacted Adhair re: trying to determine if there was a leak on the main water line before the meters. They traced the line up to a large planter but could not find any noise that would indicate a leak. We asked them to return on a Sat. because of less noise & they did. again there was no leak. Very knowledgeable & skillful

Provided by YP.comI needed someone to pinpoint a serious, but hidden, leak in my water supply line. I was hoping it might be in the yard and not under the basement floor. I called Adhair and Steve Malone came bright and early the next morning. Steve quickly and efficiently tracked down the location of the leak. Sometimes service guys can ge grumpy, but Steve was easy to talk to and explained every step he took so that I understood exactly what to expect. He eventually pointed to a spot on my concrete floor and said that's where the leak is. Ah, well, you win some, you lose some. Anyway, I enjoyed working with Steve and heartily recommend him. You'll find him efficient and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. He did what I needed quickly, efficiently, and cheaper than the other leak detection services I contacted. Check him out!

Provided by YP.comI have used Adhair twice this year; once this spring & once recently. Each time they found the leak, but each time they charged the same price. I thought I'd at least get a break on the cost of the second job. I hope I have no more leaks, I cannot afford them.
This is the second time someone has complained about our pricing. Our fees are commensurate with industry pricing. What's strange is that each time we completed our job as quoted. Sorry, we have our expenses & many happy customers; pricing will remain the same.

Provided by YP.comI have a design/build landscape & pool company in Edwardsville, IL & we needed help. One of our pools had a definite leak in its system. We called Adhair about this matter & they responded very quick. After checking the vinyl liner for leaks, it was found that the leak was in the plumbing of the pool. Steve pressure tested all of the lines determined it was on the return side & found the spot.......he's good!

Provided by YP.comWe (Hunter Farms) called Adhair Leak Detection on a Tuesday afternoon. At first, he told us how we could save ourselves a couple days' work by troubleshooting over the phone. We needed this pool going immediately. That afternoon, he stopped by and did his own evaluation. He found and made the repairs. He follow-up throughout the weekend and kept in contact until all was taken care of. The Owner was very happy. And since we work for the Owner, we were very happy. We are very pleased with his quality of work as well as his constant communication via phone and email. I would HIGHLY recommend Steve Malone with Adhair Leak Detection.

Provided by YP.comAs a nationally known drain cleaning & plumbing repair service we often have a need for leak detection. There is an apartment complex in St. Charles that we service & they had a water line leak in a apartment with a slab floor. We'd never used Adhair before but tried them on this job. They did exactly what we wanted.
