Dr. Lader is a fellowship-trained cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in caring for conditions affecting the heart’s electrical system. He received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from New York University (NYU) and a medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and a fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, all at the NYU School of Medicine.  Dr. Lader was initially drawn to the field while conducting research aimed at explaining some of the basic molecular underpinnings of atrial fibrillation. He believes that when targeted lifestyle modifications fall short, this and similar research will mark the beginning of an age where heart rhythm disturbances are treated, and even prevented, by targeted treatments at the molecular level. At Stamford Health, Dr. Lader provides a wide array of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities for heart rhythm management.  His clinical expertise covers a broad range of complex ablations, device implantation, lead management and extraction, as well as left atrial appendage closure techniques.
