Dr. Cornish is a Board Certified Pediatrician, Medical Director of Ambulatory Care Pediatrics, Director of Ambulatory Pediatric Education, Rotation Director of Community and Advocacy, a Fellow of the Academy of Pediatrics and an Assistant Professor at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Cornish is involved in medical education and mentoring residents, as well as students throughout their pediatric medical clerkship. Dr. Cornish has particular interests in newborn care and breastfeeding, as well as management of obesity and encouraging a healthy lifestyle in her patients. Dr. Cornish is an ambassador in advocating for proper discipline techniques and promoting children's mental health in the pediatric primary care setting. Dr. Cornish participates in various community outreach and advocacy initiatives, such as increasing childhood literacy programs at SIUH. She participates in parenting courses with various schools on Staten Island. She takes great pride in caring for her patients and community, as well as, maintaining longstanding relationships with her patients and their families.
