Sterling Elementary is a K-4 building offering Pre-K program. Based in Sterling, Mich., the subjects offered comprise language arts, English, Math, Social Studies, Science as well as reading and spelling activities. The school provides students with support in five core areas, namely read naturally, reading mastery, Orton Gillingham, blue prints to help with writing and corrective reading. It offers community education, such as belly dancing, youth indoor soccer, and youth wrestling club for ages 6 to 14. Additionally, the school offers training programs for K-4th grade using reading workshops as well as after school programs. Sterling Elementary School is a part of Standish-Sterling Community Schools and is North Central accredited.
