Born and raised in Little Rock, Dr. David Wassell earned a BS in History from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO before pursuing his medical education. As an Air Force Captain and F-16 Fighter Pilot with the Arkansas Air National Guard, he flew combat missions as part of Nato PeaceKeeping operations over Bosnia in 1996. Upon receiving his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 2001, Dr. Wassell completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
