My car was in Dave's shop from September 14th to September 24th. At no point was Dave able to guess as to what happened to cause the issue. He made a suggestion as to a solution, and I had him try it. $1,100 later, the issue was still not fixed. Dave made another suggestion, even saying "If this were my car, this is what I would do". Another $750 later, the issue was still not fixed.

So at 1:30 pm on a Friday I asked Dave to remove the transmission again so I could send the parts to the manufacturer. He said he would have to wait until Monday to even start working on it, despite the fact that his shop is open all day Saturday and until 6:00 pm on Friday. He said he always has a lot of walk-in business and that he needed to get those people back to work on Monday. I thought, given the fact that my car had already been at his shop for 9 days, and considering my expenditures, that my car might be given priority over a walk-in.
