Long wait for nothing

Dropped off Rx. at 8 a.m. Discussed insurance. Went to pick it up at 9 p.m. and it wsn't ready. After everything was ready to go (about 30 min later) I found out they don't take my insurance. Why didn't they tell me at 8 a.m.?
