I filed an injured spouse return. The H&R Block representative (B. Patel) filed the injured spouse form incorrectly. The refund was supposed to take approx. 12 weeks. At about 16 weeks I called the office and asked them if anything was wrong. They insisted everything was done properly and refused to look over the return. I got the same response at 18 weeks and 20 weeks. Finally, after dealing with the tax payer advocacy group and countless hours on hold with the IRS they found that H&R Block did in fact file incorrectly. I resolved the return problem with the IRS directly and filed a complaint with H&R Block. Of the over $300 I payed to have my taxes done they offered me $30 in refund for all the trouble I went through and a $50 "coupon". she asked if that resolved my issue. When I said it did not she then stated that If I was going to leave a bad review for H&R Block then she would not send a refund at all and got an attitude with me. I will NEVER use this company again. they are thieves who will use technicalities to keep money even if they mess up your return. More than half a year to get my return because of a mistake they made and they won't take ANY responsibility for their mistake.
