Dawn Shoemaker is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who enjoys providing primary care to patients of all ages. She works with each patient and family to build a strong partnership, providing patients with the information and education to make sound health care decisions. Shoemaker also believes in creating a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their health challenges and goals. While working in health care administration, she developed a curiosity and passion for providing direct patient care. Shoemaker decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University. The rewarding experience inspired her to take another step in providing patient care. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and became a nurse practitioner. Originally from the Southeast United States, Ms. Shoemaker moved to Tucson in 1994.
