Provided by SuperpagesFirst (and last) time at the Kingfisher. Went early News Year's Eve with friends for dinner. Mojitto's were very weak and the service was minimal at best. Noticed waitress spending much more time at other tables. We had to flag her down if we needed anything. Food was pricey but good. Wouldn't go back.Kathy

Provided by SuperpagesFirst time at Kingfisher last night. Since December is the perfect month for mussels, I ordered the Steamed Black Mussels. There was a goodly amount of nice-looking shells. But there was nothing in them! The animals were pea-sized. About a third of the shells was completely empty. Two of the shells hadn't openend during steaming, but were served anyway. Several of the shells were full of sand. Upon my complaint to the surly waiter, this was the only response: "There is no way for us to know." My reaction: Does the chef not look at the dish before it goes out? If he did, as he should, he'd know the dish is substandard and should offer an alternative. At the very least, the dish should be taken off the bill. I received no apology, no offer of a substitute, and was charged full price ($ 12) for the dish. My second dish, Shrimp Cakes, and the cheesecake special dessert were unmemorable. Needless to say, I will not eat at the Kingfisher again and will not recommend it to anyone.
