Dr. Patel is an interventional cardiologist. He recently completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia and earned his medical degree from the BJ Medical College in Gujarat, India. During his fellowships at the UA, he was a chief cardiology fellow. While at Mercer University School of Medicine, Dr. Patel was the associate program director of the Internal Medicine Residency program, associate program director for the Clinical Skill Department and assistant professor. He was also the lead researcher in clinical research. Dr. Patel has co-authored numerous professional articles and has presented at regional and national conferences. He is experienced in transradial percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), structural heart diseases, high-risk PCI with hemodynamic support, and management of adult complex congenital heart disease. Dr. Patel is board certified in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).
