I am the European reviewer who submitted the previous review. After talking to my dentist, he has admitted that what happened was his (and his staff's) fault. They will resubmit the paperwork to the insurance company and, if it still won't pay, Dr Leong will not make me pay for the procedure. His decision shows a serious, honest, and professional attitude.

My current insurance benefit period started on 02/01/09. During my previous benefit period (02/01/08 to 01/31/09) I underwent extensive dental work at Dr. Leong's office. When, towards the end of 2008, my charges reached the yearly maximum we agreed to take a break and to complete the remaining dental work during the next benefit period. Then I told his secretary that I was not sure about the exact start date of my next benefit period, and asked her whether she could possibly look it up and schedule my next appointment after that date. She answered "Certainly!" and scheduled me for a crown on 01/15/09. However, unbeknownst to me, that date was still within my old benefit period! Trusting her, I showed up at the appointment. Now, however, I have received a letter from United Concordia stating that they will not pay for that crown because it was placed during my maxed-out benefit period. If she had paid attention and scheduled my appointment just two weeks later, I would have saved $460.
