Griswold Machine & Engineering is a diversified manufacturer and supplier of trench shielding and trench shoring products for the United States, Canada and Mexico. As an industry pioneer since the 1960s, GME acquired a number of patents on many trench shield features and continues do to so in the areas of product development, product advancement and product effectiveness. It has two plants dedicated to trench shield and trench shoring production at its Michigan headquarters, coupled with a satellite manufacturing and distribution facility in Reno, Nev., for trench shield and trench shoring support. The construction products division is an original equipment designer and manufacturer of proprietary steel and aluminum trench shoring and shielding equipment. The material handling products division designs and builds steel containers and racks to accommodate customers returnable packaging needs and to protect products during transportation. Griswold Machine & Engineering maintains headquarters in Union City, Mich.
