Wahoo Elementary School serves more than 350 students in grades prekindergarten through six. The student-teacher ratio in the school is 15-to-1. Admissions are based on a combination of factors that include personal interviews with the students and parents, academic records, admission tests, recommendations from teachers, a classroom visit and other related information. Its curriculum includes reading and writing, language arts, foreign language, math, science and social studies. Its dedicated staff consists of an administrator, teachers, specialist and instructional assistants. Based in Wahoo, Neb., the school is a part of the Wahoo Public Schools.
