We hired Antonio (THE OWNER) with A + Event Rentals in Wake Forest, NC to provide tables, chairs, and linens for my sister's wedding. We prepaid and were told he would be there between 1 and 2 pm...we were there at 1 and at 2:15 we still had not seen or heard from him. We left several messages and finally my sister got a hold of him around 3:00...he showed up around 3:30 (wedding started at 4:30 and we still had to set everything up and get ready). When I was able to speak to him I asked him if he was going to compensate my parents for being late and as he put it "must have missed us"...so if we had not called we basically would not have been able to have anywhere to eat, sit, etc... Then he was rude and asked if I wanted to cancel and that by keeping him on the phone I was holding him up from loading up the truck. When I told him he did not need to speak disrespectfully to me, his client, he then said "go ahead say what you want to say..." at that point I just wanted the equipment so decided not to argue with him on the phone. I have worked in event planning for years and honestly haven't had an owner of a company act so rude, unapologetic, and disrespectful to me. I would NEVER hire him again, nor would I want anyone else to experience that kind of stress for their event or wedding. My mom, sister, and I all missed getting ready with my sister the bride and I had 20 minutes to throw my hair up and get dressed for the wedding. It may seem trivial to him, but moments we can't get back.... Do yourself a favor and even if he is the cheapest...its NOT WORTH IT!
