Great experience with Georgetown Moving Company. Best quote in the area, and they even made some changes in how I had packed some things up so that my items would be safer for the trip! Though I hate moving and hope to not do it for a long time, I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat!

1) Arrived Late: I had made it clear upon scheduling my move that I needed the crew at my place at 8am since I only had the elevator from 8am until noon. They did not arrive until 8:45am. I called the main office around 8:30 and was told someone from the office would contact me. There was never a return phone call.



2) I would be weary of the estimate that they give you. My estimate was roughly half what the actual bill came in at. I had to have them just leave things in the garage instead of moving them into the house that is how slow they were moving.



I was moving from a 1 bedroom + den and it took them roughly 3 hours to move a bed, couple of dressers and a couch out of my unit and into their truck. I can only imagine how long a full house would take.



I would suggest renting a Uhaul and renting a crew from their site. I have had friends who have done this and they were cheaper, faster, and better than Georgetown Movers.

Great work!!!!!!!!!!! I have had some very bad moving experiences in the past and because of this i am very weary but my friend recommended Georgetown Moving and Storage to me and finally i have found someone who knows what they are doing! The whole move was seemless and the owner even stopped by to make sure everything was going okay. The lady in the office that i spoke to was informative and extremely friendly. all in all a fantastic experience!

I have a beautiful cabinet that has one foot broken, that they took specially good care of it even while in storage. Delivery of all items were also timely and handled carefully. They really care. They made our move smooth and as pain free as the moving experience can be!!! The packers were organized, speedy and careful. The loading and unloading crew the same. These guys are first rate!!! Will use them again!!!

Georgetown Moving and Storage guys showed up on time as promised. They did a quick walk thru of the house and promptly began loading the truck. They were extremely careful with my furniture and the walls and doorways. The price was exactly as I was quoted over the phone. There were NO surprise charges or fees! I will be using Georgetown Moving and Storage again in the future and will recommend to all of my friends and family who might be moving.
