PIDARC (Partners in Drug Abuse Rehabilitation Counseling) was founded in 1971 in response to a request from Washington DC's then Narcotic Treatment Agency, to develop the only private alternative to the city's large network of publicly run outpatient methadone treatment programs. PIDARC is a program of The Foundation for Contemporary Mental Health, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization.
