Irving Elementary School offers education to more than 400 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school has a special program, Partners in Education, which receives support from various organizations, such as First Baptist Church, GMAC Mortgage and Struxture Architects. The school is a part of the Waterloo Community School District, which provides a range of educational services to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district encompasses an area of more than 100 square miles and provides several individualized programs that include career education, enriched education and specialized instruction for at-risk students and students with limited knowledge of English. The district also provides education to students with various learning disabilities. Additionally, the district provides an early childhood program for children of low-income families.
