The Ramada Hotel Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center is a part of Ramada Worldwide, which owns and operates the Ramada brand of hotels that began in 1954 when a group of investors opened its first inn in Flagstaff, Ariz. In 1959, the group adopted the name Ramada , a Spanish word for a shaded resting place , and sold its first franchise. Since then, the Ramada chain has grown to more than 1,000 locations throughout the United States and Canada. The hotel connects to the convention center via a skywalk. do not say at this hotel, it has bed bugs. The room was dirty and the carpet was sticky.

Ramada is the place to stay every visit to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area! I am very happy with the service I have received each stay. Quiet for business life and homey enough to being my family!

a little out dated but service superb

Stayed for a wedding and thought that the place was nice. The people at the front desk was awesome and the resturant was hard to find but the food was great. Had our friends reception at the convention center and thaought that it was a little out dated. but the food there was superb as well. Would recommend to anyone that is traveling into Waterloo.

Credit Card Fraud DO NOT STAY HERE

I called to get a reservation for my friends wedding, the first lady didn't know how to access the wedding block information so she told me the manager would be calling me the next day. I ended up calling back the next day because I never received a call, the manager wasn't doing a good job communicating what the issue was but for some reason I could only stay 1 night not 2. After a frustrating phone call and I could tell the manager was not happy with me either, I decided to make the reservation and gave her my credit card info to reserve the room. The next day I checked my online bank account & there were $200+ in charges to online sites that I didn't make. I've now had to cancel my credit card, and put a claim together a claim for a formal investigation. If this is the behavior of the manager I can't even imagine what the staff is doing! None the less I've canceled my reservation and booked at a competitor.
