EmailMikes Pizza & Restaurant took both top awards in the recent West Haven Pizza Wars event, but theres no real secret ingredient, said pizza maker Mike Buonocore. Its more about the little touches and knowing what to do and not do after 47 years. Im the only one who makes pizza dough here and I take a lot of pride in what I do when I make pizza. Its a reflection of who I am, said Buonocore of the family business started by his grandfather. Here is my take on the competition I dont think anyones pizza is bad. Theyre just different

That being sad, the pizza was very good, thin crust, good sauce.
I figure the temp of the oven will kill any germs, but come on, CLEAN!

Provided by YPmobileI've been coming here over 30 years. The food is always consistently delicious. Try the stuffed eggplant. Pizza crust thin. Hard working family business, very casual, Very affordable to bring the whole family.

Provided by YP.comThe pies are good, but the service stinks at times.I have had long waits both for dinning in and take out. After waiting for an hour for a take out order that was called in I'll never go there again.
