BEST BURGER EVER.

They may call it the "best burger in town", but it should be "best burger in the nation". Truly outstanding food. Outstanding service. Outstanding everything.

Never had a better waiter. He was on top of everything; refilling drinks, offering food advice, and being the absolute best.

Virginia, the owner, felt like family. She's a true sweetheart and knows exactly what she's doing with her food. Also has an amazing story.

Only been there once and it has to now be one of my favorite food dives.

In fact, going to write to Guy from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to make it my MISSION to get him to this place.

Should be well-known.

This is coming from a non-beef/burger lover. Black Jack's has converted me.

And if you are one of the people worried about the "pub" part in the title, don't be. This is a safe family-friendly environment.

Have nothing but nice things to say. If you're thinking about it and reading these reviews to decide on where to go for dinner, THIS IS YOUR SIGN. Go NOW.

Amazing food!!! Great service!! Everything we have tried here is great. The wait staff and owner are always friendly and make you feel at home.

Worst restaurant I've ever been too!! They were out of everything we ordered. We had to order about 5 different things to get to something they had!! The food was horrible. It didn't come out like we asked, and when I told the waitress she went and got the lady from the back (that was cooking by herself). The lady comes out and tells us we were wrong like we were lying!! When we told her we were telling the truth she says... "I'm the f***ing owner". They didn't take it off the bill because they say once it's in the computer they can't take it out. I can not believe we were treated like that and I would never return there!! Not a good experience!!!

I had a lunch there while on my vacation to the Mountains. Their service was out standing and the food... the food was wonderful. The Slamming Jack was by far the best burger I have ever had! Loaded with Bacon, Ham, Tomato, Sweet Onion, Egg & Cheese... this was a meal all by itself... I also enjoy the Sweet Potato Fries. I would highly recommend Back Jacks Pub and Grill to anyone visiting West Jefferson or who lives there. Friendly people & great atmosphere.
