WLFI is the CBS local television affiliate that provides news, programming, entertainment and information to residents of the greater West Lafayette, Ind., area. Established in 1953 as WFAM, the station serves more than 180,000 households in a 13-county area of north central Indiana. WLFI broadcasts on channel 18 and is owned and operated by LIN Television, which owns 29 television stations in the Midwest and Eastern United States.
