This was BY FAR the WORST customer service experience I've ever had. The person driving the towing truck picked up the WRONG vehicle, leaving me stranded on a bridge over the Cape Fear river with a tiny shoulder and vehicles flying by at 70+ mph. Despite being in a dangerous location, the driver didn't even bother to check the VEHICLE MAKE AND MODEL my insurance company sent him to pick up, stating he had towed a vehicle at a location that I never even reported. I gave crystal clear directions to my where abouts, and my location was PIN-POINTED by my insurance company via GPS, as well as documented in detailed notes from my insurance company, and sent to D & N's dispatch AND driver. Nancy at dispatch re-iterated the correct directions. Astoundingly, the driver rejected taking responsibility for the situation by blaming me, stating I had given wrong directions, that he already picked up a vehicle (whose vehicle????), and ended the call by stating he could no longer waste anymore time on me and to call another towing company. Anyone who refuses to do their job despite their mistake, leaving someone stranded in an unsafe location should NOT be in this line of work. I waited an hour and a half in an unsafe location, just to be told to call someone else. When I called my insurance company, they reached out to D & N, and called me back stating the driver was extremely rude, that they'd be filing a complaint, and no longer using this company for towing. My insurance representative told me that the driver had the audacity to complain to my insurance company about not being credited (payed) for the service he provided. WHAT SERVICE???? Please do not risk depending on this company to help you when you are stranded, even in a dangerous location, because odds are, they will bail on you and waste hours of your time. I will never use D & N again.
