For more than two decades, David Carr, MD, has helped patients with a variety of medical conditions. He exclusively performs benign and oncologic breast treatments, allowing him to offer both surgical and nonsurgical interventions to his patients. He enjoys helping his patients feel comfortable and understand their health situations. His goal is for every patient to receive individualized care. Dr. Carr pioneered the sentinel node biopsy and the MammoSite partial breast irradiation service in the Winston-Salem area. He chose to focus his career on surgery because of the immediacy of relief for his patients. Outside of work, Dr. Carr enjoys spending time with his wife and their three grown children.
