Hi Dave. I'm Kevin, Rick hired me early this year. I'm a veteran artist of a different background than Rick and while he and I do things differently I can easily vouch for him being a professional at his craft. I don't know much about your last experience but it sounds to me that you weren't happy that Rick didn't draw up the custom piece you wanted. Please keep this in mind. Someone can be an amazing artist, but a bad tattooist. The same can be applied vice-versa. Rick will tackle what the customer wants him to but while he doesn't prefer doing custom designs, he will pull some of the cleanest lines you will see in a tattoo. The man is very much a pro at what he does, well respected in the industry and doesn't deserve a negative reputation. I'm pretty sure that he applied a stencil on you before he started the tattoo so if you weren't happy then it might have been wise to speak up sooner. We don't start on customers until we know they are happy with the design and placement.
