I am so impressed with Edda for many reasons, I went in to have my upper eye liner and eyebrows done yesterday and couldn't be happier with the results.



She is the makeup whisperer. What I mean is that I explained what I wanted in words, feeling really nervous we'd have a hard time getting to a point where she truly understood what I wanted and trusted she'd deliver. However, immediately she pointed to a picture of eye liner and asked me if that's what I wanted. Yes! It was exactly what I wanted.



Next came the eyebrows. Now I have hair already and just need a bit of definition. I'm a natural type of girl and don't like to look made up unless it's quite intentional. So when she gave me a mirror to look at the brows she drew, I was floored. It looked so natural and yet, so perfectly drawn. I can never draw my brows like that! I made a minor modification and she shared her opinion and why she wouldn't make that change, but ultimately made me feel comfortable that my decision was what she would implement.



I spent a lot of time driving home trying to put into words why it's so hard to choose a person to do permanent makeup for you. I came up with the word "Trust". You are putting your trust in a person to listen and understand your wishes, be able to remain objective and ultimately have the talent and artistry to deliver. Edda has all of these qualities and more.



I will rave about her to anyone who will listen (and have already sent all of my friends a picture of her work).



Here is the process for those who may want a step by step of what to expect:



1) Fill out paperwork and review any risks and discuss what you want done.

2) Edda will review her equipment and the sterile practices she has. She'll open the needles for the procedure in front of you.

3) For eye liner she didn't need to draw it on first because we agreed on a clear photo.

a) cleanse the eye.

b) exfoliate the eye: This isn't comfortable. She is scraping at the tender skin on your eyes. But it's very bearable and it's over quickly.

c) Apply lidocaine to lid to numb it.

d) Use the needle with color to mark the lid so she knows where to apply color after full numbing is completed.

e) Use the needle to open up the pores so that lidocaine can be applied again for further numbing. This will cause minor swelling which is why she needs to mark the lid with color prior.

f) apply the color. The hardest part of this is that you must relax your eyelid and it's truly a mind over matter. Edda will continuously talk to you letting you know when you are tensing or fluttering the lid. This wasn't comfortable but it was only painful in spots and it was very bearable. This is also where trust comes into play because it feels odd to have a needle that close to your eyeball.

g) at some point during the procedure she will stop and ask you to look. Your eyes will be puffy but you'll be able to tell if she's on the right track. She was with me so she kept going.

4) for eyebrows she drew it first and then we talked through a minor tweak. She had me get up and look in a mirror and she looked at me from far away to study whether it looked right. She made sure there was agreement and I was completely comfortable before we kept going.



The eyebrows aren't painful at all but they may make you sneeze and your nose may run a bit. Mine did. Once again she stopped to get my feedback a few times.



After she gave me a little care package with instructions and a hug. So sweet. I'll see her again in a few weeks to get any touchups and can't wait to see the final result (I will post here if I can figure it out).

I highly recommend Edda Garcia if you are interested in trying Permanent Make-up. Her clinic / office is sterile and professional and the results are amazing. I had my eyeliner done 5 yrs ago and it still looks awesome; I just had a touch-up on the lower line today, which I prefer to be very thin. And I had my eyebrows done today also after a thoughtful consultation with Edda. She is the best; you can't go wrong !

That mirror cracked from the image of two beautiful teal green eyes outlined by skillfully applied permanent black eye liner. My eyes popped out from under those very well sculpted eyebrows! I thought I was looking at a movie star on television.

I just had my eyebrows done a couple of weeks ago and Edda did an amazing job. I've been doing my research on feathered tattoo eyebrows and she is the only person I found with several years of experience. Edda is an expert at eyebrows! She uses precise measuring tools to achieve perfect arches and curves not to mention her expert eye for color and symmetry. I would highly recommend her! And if your concerned about pain...you can ask for numbing cream...but her touch is so gentle... You likely won't even feel it!

I just had my eyebrows done by Edda & She is a miracle worker! I had very thin, damaged eyebrows that were very asymmetrical. Now I have thick, natural looking eyebrows now that I want to show off. I had my permanent eyebrows originally done 7 years ago, and have been looking for a great and experienced permanent makeup artist for a retouch of my eyebrows. I searched online and found Edda Garcia, a permanent make-up artist, who had several great reviews from Yelp, all of which were very promising.



After reading all the testimonials and viewing all the pictures, I felt quite confident of Edda Garcia’s skills. Upon our meeting, she was not only professional, but also amiable and made us feel comfortable as soon as we entered her salon. Edda explained the before and after of the procedure in a clear and understandable manner, making me even more confident of her skills and overall knowledge. Her salon is very clean, organized and has a calm atmosphere. She made it a point to consistently ask and make sure that I felt comfortable and had no pain during the duration of the procedure.

I have no regrets!!! I got permanent eyeliner and my eyes came out perfect. Edda is such a nice person and makes you feel very comfortable. Her office is clean and sterile. I would recommend her to anyone on the fence about getting it done.

I just got my eyebrows done by Edda! I was nervous and afraid of disastrous was having cold feet prior to the procedure but I kept on reading and rereading all the positive reviews and persuaded myself to show up for my appointment. I couldn’t be happier after my procedure!!! Edda was welcoming and her gentle tone of voice was enough to alleviate my anxiety. Her facility was very clean and well maintained. She covered up in a gown, cap, mask and gloves. She answered all my questions. She explained the procedure to me and asked if I wanted to draw in the shape of the eyebrows myself which I prefer she do it. She reassured me that we work together as a team to achieve the end result. She allowed me all the time I need to check out my brows and she worked with me until I am satisfied! I have to give Edda a five star, she does an excellent job in doing my permanet make-up. I can't thank her enough for the compliments I got, she made me look 15 years younger. If you are considering eyebrow and liner, don't look further, she does a wonderful job.

I got my eyes brows tattoo a week ago by Edda. It the best decision I made. I thought about it for a few years and I finally did it. I am so glad I waited and found her, I love my new look. I had my upper Eyeliner done by Edda Garcia, at her Avon office, and let me tell you, Edda is wonderful. Her office gives you the confidence that you are walking into a clean and well maintained environment for the type of work she does. At first I was very afraid of the procedure, even though my Mom and sister who had her upper and lower eye liner done by Edda told me that there was nothing to be afraid of.

It took me awhile to make the decision of doing it, but it is one of the best decisions ever!! When I went for my consultation Edda took the time to sit down and explain to me, step by step what she would be doing, what I was going to feel, what the results were going to be and how to take care of my eyes after the procedure. She walked me through her office and I could clearly see that all the equipment is sterilized, no fear of cross contamination because of how clean her office is, which to me is a big deal. I recommend Edda to everyone that is interested in permanent make up, or any other procedures she does. Not only is she great at her work but she is a wonderful person that will treat you with respect and listen to what your desires are.

Don't hesitate to call her if you are thinking of having some sort of permanent make up procedure done! You won't regret it!!!!
