The movers arrived punctually between the window of time they offered to help move. They were friendly, respected my belongings, and got everything into the truck quickly. They followed directions and unloaded everything in categories throughout the rooms in the apartment. I was very pleased and would refer them to anyone who is looking for help in a move.

I am very pleased to take the time to write a comment on Sentry Van Lines. I recently needed moving services and started looking around with a week in advance for a fair quote and quality service. Out of numerous paper and web advertised services in the
NY area what I came across was:

1. Some of my messages were returned only on the next day or not returned at all.

2. Arrogance, attitude and disdain, I felt like I was dealing with buccaneers.

3. Some sounded like apprentices/wannabes, such as 2 guys and a truck. unlicensed, uninsured.

4. Basic questions vaguely answered or unanswered at all.

5. People too busy to do business with me, a prospective customer.

6. Their marketing and advertising wording/imaging blew up within the first minute of conversation. Most sounded like the bait-and-switch or promise-but-don’t-deliver scenarios.

7. Some barely spoke English. And the list goes on and on.

Then I reached Sentry Van Lines and within 30 seconds I knew I was interacting with reliable, respectful and dedicated professional.

Sentry Van Lines helped me move recently from Iowa to Pennsylvania. Being in HR I know full well how important a good comsybis. Sentry was incredibly thorough, incredibly organized and did their absolute best--almost to the point of exhaustion--everything they could to make sure they had every detail looked over more than 3, 4, even 5 times...and then a FINAL check. I mean, they were thorough, and when you're moving, you don't want even ONE surprise.

I really was overwhelmed with my move as it was a company relocation and I knew I had a budget to work within, so when I found Sentry and began working with them, I didn't want to even shop around because going through inventory is exhausting. Lucky for me, they were perfect from the beginning. Because I didn't have the time or energy to try and shop around, I was putting my move in their hands and they delivered....literally. I'd recommend them as they do everything they can to keep you calm, protected, and incredibly informed so there are no surprises. Job well done!

I had moved overseas and left all my stuff in storage. I used Sentry Van Lines to move it from storage in Washington DC to my new 4-bedroom house in Ohio. Let me just say that they did such a great job that I have been singing their praises to virtually every person I know!
A lot of the credit goes to the movers, Nick, Anthony and Jamal, but I will also say that their sales coordinator, Joy, did a great job of giving me the quote and scheduling everything to my convenience. I wish these guys all the success because they really do work for it

I have moved several times in my life locally and out of state so I know what to expect when it comes to moving companies. I have had good and bad experiences and could say at this point know a thing or two about the moving industry. I was referred to Sentry Van Lines by one of my colleagues who also used them for her move. My sales rep Misty and I discussed my items to be moved over the phone. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of detail in all of her questions and she reminded me of items that even I forgot I had.

Their pricing was a little strange to me because in all the times I have moved I have never received a guaranteed binding price. I am used to paying for the weight of my shipment and did not really know how to respond to this dramatic change. After explaining this to Misty she put all my concerns to rest with a valid explanation that made a lot of sense to me. The moving day came and team showed up on time as scheduled. They performed the job at a very fast pace while at the same time staying very courteous and professional. I have a 3 bedroom house and was absolutely shocked that they finished packing and loading all in one day. I was planning on this being a very long two days for me but it ended up being much faster which left me absolutely thrilled!

My move was from Dallas to Chicago and I was expecting to wait for my belongings 3-10 days as promised by Misty. Well the Sentry team surprised me once again when I got a phone call 2 days after the pickup occurred stating that my delivery would take place the next morning. The crew at the delivery was just as courteous and professional as the team in Dallas and they finished the entire job within 8 hours. I was all moved in with my furniture placed where I instructed and was absolutely thrilled how pleasant this entire experience had turned out. I did not let the guys leave before giving them each a very nice tip I might add but it was for a job well done. Thank you Sentry Van Lines if I ever need to move again you are the company of my choice!

I was searching the internet high and low for a mover to complete my upcoming move from south Florida to New Jersey. One of the first companies that reached out to me was this one, Sentry Van Lines.

The salesperson that initially touched base with me was very friendly and informative. He told me everything I needed to know about the moving process and about the industry in general. He was able to provide me with a free, binding quote based on the inventory I gave him over the phone. The price was extremely reasonable compared to the other quotes I received. I decided to book with gateway moving and storage, and I was not disappointed! They showed up at my house when they guaranteed they would be there, and they disassembled, moved, packed, strapped and fastened in all of my most important possessions very carefully and with a lot of love, as if it was their own belongings.

They made the big trip from south Florida to New Jersey in a timely manner, within the delivery window they promised. When they got to our new house, they unloaded, reassembled and carefully placed all of our belongings in the new house without so much as a scratch on anything! The dispatch and customer service team were in touch with my family and I throughout the entire process from beginning to end and made this all work like a charm. I recommend anyone use gateway moving and storage! Especially my friends and family and/or anyone with a difficult or long distance move!

P.S. My move date was not firm and Sentry Van Lines provided me with storage in their state of the art storage facility, which gave us ample time to finalize our move date. Thanks Sentry Van Lines!

My Movers were exceptional. They were pleasant and professional as they went about moving fireproof file cabinets and dozens and dozens of boxes. It wouldn't have been surprising if they needed to take a break after a couple of hours of nonstop heavy work. But they were indefatigable and didn't waste a moment. Thank you, Sentry Van Lines. You exceeded my expectations.

These guys did an amazing job. It was priced pretty accurately although I did add more items at pickup, so the price went up a little. But they did let me know ahead of time that might happen. I was hesitant in the beginning but their entire team made this move stress free.

I was in the process of looking for movers until I saw Sentry Van Lines moving a neighbor out of my building. They really seemed professional and all of the furniture on the truck was expertly wrapped with blankets and shrink wrap and small items were nicely placed in large boxes. I was impressed enough to check them out and when I contacted the office, I knew I had found a great company. Moving from California to Colorado was an amazing experience that was covered by Sentry Van Lines. Thanks to this company I managed to save some money and to get moved in 3 days. This was one fast, problem free and professional moving experience. We had no problem with SVL and the representatives of the company were friendly, the sales team gave us a lot of options and even suggested many useful plans. Sentry Van Lines called once I submitted my information regarding my relocation. They were very professional and took all the time necessary to make sure the move would be a success. I went room by room telling them all the pieces I would be bringing and which pieces that would be boxing myself. They gave me tips and other resources as this was my first time moving with an actual company. Mint Movers showed up and with the utmost to my wife and I, they wrapped our furniture, put the mattress covers on and box my televisions. They loaded and unloaded the truck and covered all the expenses to get me to my destination. Mint is a very very well run company With establish credentials. They also have all the necessary licenses and certifications to do interstate moves. I was extra careful in selecting the company I would be working with as I heard there are many fraudulent companies. I would recommend them to anyone.

4 days before I was going to get picked up by some mover that my company selected, they rudely called me to tell me that they had another job that was going to replace mine and they would try to refund my company in 7-10 business days. Scared, nervous, and very upset, I reached out to a few companies that were in the area and the most polite person I spoke with was Chris. He put my mind at ease and definitely calmed my wife down. On my move day the crew that showed up, represented Sentry Van Lines very well. They worked in sync together and got our stuff on the road quickly. A few days later we were delivered and all of our stuff was in the same condition. We are so thankful and grateful for Chris and the crew at Sentry Van Lines.
