Marisa Stringer, FNP-BC, CANS, is a highly skilled family nurse practitioner and certified aesthetic nurse specialist with 20 years of experience in the medical field. Marisa has lived in Mississippi for more than three decades and currently works with patients at Pine Belt Dermatology, with locations in Petal, Hattiesburg, Ellisville, Collins, and Columbia, Mississippi. A native of Scotland, Marisa ultimately settled in Mississippi, where she attended Columbia High School in Columbia. She later graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with a bachelor of science in nursing. Finally, Marisa earned her master of science in nursing from the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2004. At Pine Belt Dermatology, Marisa specializes in dermatological care and aesthetics, providing Botox® injections and dermal fillers, treating acne and psoriasis, and screening for and treating skin cancer. She also has a variety of experience working in emergency care, intensive care, and has diagnosed and treated chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, hypertension, and congestive heart failure. Marisa is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board. In addition to her work at Pine Belt Dermatology, Marisa belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.
