My name is Ali, I own a Limo/TRansportation company in Phoenix. I purchased a used engine from Discount Engine, after having my own mechanic install the engine we witnessed a noise that was clearly internal and not correct. After Discount Engine asked to have a car towed to the shop, they called and agreed to install a second engine at no cost to me. Wow, now that is service! I give this company a 5-star rating!

Great customer service!!!!!!! Really nice people. There are nice cars inside the office. I loved all of the old car signs really made the place come alive! I was also able to see my car and talk to the mechanic.

On 09/03/2008 I had an old Mercedes Benz towed to this business to get an engine installed.A little after that I paid 1400$ for them to get a replacement engine.Before I paid that money,they were very nice to me.There after,they have been mean and very rude to me.It is almost a year and I don't have my car.
I made a complaint to the better business bureau and they responded once and ignored further efforts to resolve this problem.They have even given me days to go get the car and when I get there,they have not touched it or dont know where it is.Eric told me he is not a junkyard,but he looks like one because he stores cars without fixing them.
While waiting for them to get done,I spent hundreds renting cars.Then I bought two more cars that died on me.I am now on my 3rd car that is very reliable.
It is your money,car,life and sanity.DONT DISCOUNT ANY OF IT BY TAKING YOUR CAR TO THEM.

THIS COMPANY WILL LIE TO YOU AND MORE THAN DOUBLE THE COST OF THE ORIGINAL QUOTE. THEY CONTINUED TO CHANGE THEIR STORY ABOUT THE STATUS OF OUR VEHICLE. This Shady Shop should be shut down. Eric owner has no scruples, he runs a parts scam, steels from people extort moneys, there contracts stink to high haven.Contact me if you want a peace of this miserable low live thief.

My story abbreviated, Please try to read it all. Eric wants me to Pay for Repairs of the Warranty Replacement Motor he installed after the first motor he installed failed on the day I picked it up. The van was at his shop for 6 weeks, paid $4,150.00 Now the van won’t start, Leaks oil ( a lot ), and the AC doesn't work now either... My “BAD” engine was better than what I have received from Eric and Discount Engine Exchange.

Lets Speak Up and Stop This GUY!!!

This business is a joke, please do not use this business. I paid 3700 and within 2 months my car broke down I was told I had to pay additional money to get it checked. And it was not part of the warranty. I hired an attorney and I'm suing this company.

Similar story as the rest. Took advantage of my 80 yr old dad. Hellen vehicle hostage! Thousands lost because of these #&*% $@! review errored

Why didn't I read these reviews before....WHY??? I took my car to this shop...I am now $4200 broke with a check engine light on in the car. The warranty is absurd. I ended up taking the car somewhere else. ABSOLUTELY POOR service. The owner/manager Eric Deroche is a total jerk. He has no mercy and since he knows he has his car held hostage at his shop...he knows he's got you in his hand and will make you do whatever he wants. Do me a favor and don't ever ever go there.

STAY AWAY PEOPLE.....REPEAT......STAY AWAY from this shop. So over priced and owner/manager Eric Deroche is a freaking bulldog (sorry dogs!). So rude and disrespectful. He'll sugar coat everything to get you into his shop and once you're car is in...your worst nightmare begins. So many complaints and bad reviews and they are all right on and at par to what you'll experience with that idiot and his so called "Discount" engine shop!!

Horrible place. Long story but similar to all the rest. Took longer than quoted, cost more than quoted and it didn't run when they handed it back to me. Had to tow it elsewhere to get back on the road rather than submit to there tactics of trying to get 3x the cost of the estimate from me. Wish I'd researched. Turns out there are 20+ complaints, 11 bad reviews and an "F" rating with the Better Business Beaureu. Over 30 hidden bad reviews on Yelp, (Look under not reccommended reviews) Countless more on YP , here and other sources. Also a piece on 3 on your side by the media exploring scam mechanics. Stay away or you will be sorry.

Task took 10 days longer than they originally quoted. Extremely poor customer service. When I picked up my vehicle, they tried to sell me on additional parts and labor that I really didn't need. They completely discounted the air conditioning (which didn't have to happen) and then wanted to charge me to repair it. Won't honor warranty if I don't take the vehicle back for a service to be completed by them for an additional $100 plus an oil change. When I tried to pay with my credit card, he refused to accept it and stated CASH ONLY!! I had to pay in order to get my vehicle back. Horrible company and the manager is even worse.

Get your car fixed some place else. These guys are crooks. Lie and steel your money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Lured us in by giving a cheap price on a used engine ended up with twice the price fully rebuilt! After 2 months of run around and lies finally got my car and it over heated after driving just 8 miles! these men have no shame! charged me thousands and wanted more! wish I had seen these reviews before going there! anyone suing please contact me! class action all the way! Someone needs to shut them down! I only gave one star because I had too. they deserve a negative!

I tried to buy a used engine installed. They quoted me a price of $3500. Then ended up charging me an extra $2000 (for extra parts that I really didn't need). If I didn't pay it they threatened to keep my truck and charge extra money every day it was there for "storage". They are really mean and have no problem cussing you out. This company should not be allowed to be in business. My truck only made it down the road after they "fixed" it and left me stranded. It's been sitting for 6 months now still not running and they won't fix what they should have done in the first place! I'm out my vehicle and 5 grand.

They give reasonable estimate to get you in - then double it after you made first payment and you are basically screwed... I wish I read all reviews before I went there

RIP OFF! They over-charged by thousandsJUST FOR SPIDER INJECTERS AND OIL LINE COSTED ME $2,000 AND WHEN I GOT IT BACK IT HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON THE BOLTS WERE LOSE AND THE SENSERS WERE NOT PLUGED IN I HAD TO FIX IT ALL AND THE THE LIGHT WENT OFF I COULD HAVE BOUGT A CAR ON craigslist FOR THAT MUCH A GOOD 4X4 FOR $2000

This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The game is to get your vehicle towed for free into the shop and then hold it hostage while they jack the prices through the roof. The guy on the phone seems nice enough at first, then he uses intimidation and evil tactics to make you pay... and No credit cards accepted-- he's a man on an island. STAY AWAY!
