I was looking for a salon to have feather extensions put in my hair. When I called Creative Colours I talked to Tamara on the phone. She was so friendly and was able to get me in the same day! Her recommendations on where to put the feather extensions were wonderful and I love the result. The price was so reasonable as well. I definetely recommend going there for feather extensions. I'll be returning for more feathers soon!

I chose Healing Wizdom after reading all of their great reviews. I believe it was the owner that worked with me and she was great! She gave me hot stones to hold, placed a heating pad on my stomach and used a "modesty towel" (my favorite!). It was quick & painless. I will definitely be back! I also loved the tea afterwards...so sweet. I am planning on bringing my friend who has never had a bikini wax the next time I go. It is perfect for anyone who is a little nervous or apprehensive.

Shirley Love is the best, every time I have been in to get my hair done Shirley has done a great job. She is very easy to talk to and has a lot of experience and knowledge to share. Shirley cares more about making her customers happy then the money signs. I am extremely picky about my hair and she has exceeded all my expectations and makes me feel like I am important. I will continue to go back to Shirley because I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

I have been trying to get a fire red for over a year- I am not sure if stylist in Reno where just afraid to give it to me thinking I didnt know what I wanted or they didnt have the ability. . . either way Creative Colors has blown my expectations out of the water. Not only did they hit the bright red on the dot, but their products help pick up low and high lights of your natural (or previous hair color) which make the colors look dynamic and versatile like you paid $200 for a 4 color full weave. I have had more complements on my hair than ever before and I send them all to CREATIVE COLORS!!!

I am from Hawaii and I go to college in Dallas. I was visiting Reno for Thanksgiving and I was looking for a good hair salon and these reviews for Creative Colours were really good. These reviews didn't let me down and since the lady who was supposed to cut my hair accidentally overbooked (no big deal), I had Tamara cutting my hair.



She gave me her honest opinion and so did the lady who was supposed to cut my hair. They were all helpful and they made sure I knew how they were cutting my hair and what would work for my face. The hair cut that I was going for was pretty drastic because I went from mid back length to under my chin length. Tamara gave me options and suggestions that would best suit my face and everything worked out well! Seriously! Tamara was a great hair stylist and everyone in the shop was super chill/laid back. In addition, my a-line cut came out so cute!



Thanks! If I'm ever in need of a hair cut and I'm back in Reno, I'll definitely go back to Creative Colours.

Tamara is a highly skilled stylist. Customer satisfaction is very important to her. I especially appreciate that she draws upon her own experience and expertise when working on color and cut. Definitely highly recommended!!!

Healing Wizdom has been a huge help for me. I started having neck and shoulder problems a couple of years ago. After seeing the chiropractor and visiting the doctor and taking Aleve on a daily basis for a couple of years to no avail. My wife suggested I see Cheyenne at Healing Wizdom for one of there on the go massages. It has been great for me. Multiple visits to the chiro didn’t help as much as two sessions with Cheyenne. Now I do my best to see her at least every couple of weeks. Not only has it helped me sleep better and feel better, it is very reasonably priced so I can afford to take better care of myself.

Healing Wizdom Salon is wonderful! I go to Brynna for Brazilian waxes about once a month. I’ve been going for about 2 ½ years. She is extremely professional and super nice. I have never been in pain or had any complications. The other staff members at the salon are also nice and professional. They always send an email confirmation for upcoming appointments and payments. They call to confirm appointments as well. I would recommend this salon to anyone who needs a bikini wax!

Annie Is very sweet , with a warm , caring and calming demeanor. Her massages are very relaxing I prefer a firm to deep tissue where needed or lighter . And Annie seems to be in tuned to my needs and know how much pressure and where I need it the most.

Her technique is professional and very experienced .You can tell how much Annie loves what she does. I Always feel re energized, relaxed, and can't wait for my next message.

This is Tamara from Creative Colours and I take my reviews and work very seriously. It is important for people to know that my reviews are all 100% true and I have 10 years of experience and I take many next level cut and color classes regularly--> I am a good hair dresser and to compare me to Supercuts is a huge injustice and very disturbing. I cannot say why this client needed to so severely berate me publicly, for I GUARANTEE ALL OF MY WORK, AND ASKED HER AT THE TIME IF HER HAIR WAS WHAT SHE WANTED AND SHE SAID YES AND TIPPED ME $35(over 30% tip)!! If later she has lots to publicly complain about, then I would encourage her to improve her in person communication skills vs pointedly damage a hard earned quality reputation. It is true that we have a review program, but it is not in exchange for positive reviews, it is simply a system we have for our clients to share in their honest experiences and be allowed to sample a new service with us for their time= win/win. Read the details of the many reviews, clearly they are 100% genuine! A few months ago I went through a crazy period in life and I remember clearly the 'over the top' day that she refers to! The client who was 'too ash' spent the first 20+ minutes in consultation saying 'no orange, I only like ash,' and then was 'too ash,' but when she returned for her next color she said 'you were right, do it exactly the same..." and she will admit this is just her personality, she is always unhappy with her hair at first. The cut comment was a client that always complains about something, but returns only to me for years. The brow wax is the only negative wax client I have ever had and I fully responded to her concerns (her brows were perfect she simply wanted them HUGE) by refund and on google reviews. This reviewer told me she wanted a chunky weave and after the wash she said she wanted more lighter chunks around her face. I asked her if she was happy with the rest of her color and she said she was->finished roots MATCHED EXACTLY THE COLOR SHE CAME IN WITH--> golden! While I took the extra time to add in more highlights, I could have easily toned her hair. She specifically asked for high lift blond 'chunky' highlights, which she now calls white streaks! I do modern finish dry cutting and I do an invisible layering technique that my long haired clients love, which is the cut I gave this woman, that is anything but a 'supercuts' technique. In fact, I can't even have any one else cut my own hair anymore for no one seems to be able to master this technique. So I finish here with sending in regular clients to affirm my quality and can only hope that you who are reading will consider her extreme position and use my many other positive reviews in feeling confident in choosing Creative Colours : More than a Common Salon & Spa. I visited Healing Wizdom for a Brazilian wax. Kindra was calming and very professional. It was the easiest, least painful wax I have ever had! She included lots of extra touches that made my waxing experience relaxing and surprisingly enjoyable! I already booked my next appointment and I would encourage anyone else to do the same! I won’t be going anywhere else for all of my waxing needs.

I LOVE MY New DO! I have lived in Reno since 1996 and HAD been using the same hair dresser for 13 years. He has done a nice job (I thought), but over the years my cuts were not consistently good cuts each visit. I’d come to expect a week or more grow out period before I was content. Each visit to him I would say to myself, “I hope this will be a good hair cut day.”

When I was ready for a major style change I decided to look up some new hairstylists. That is how I found Shirley Love and the Creative Color Salon. I went on-line and Googled top rated Reno hair stylists. The reviews convinced me to give them a try because I read so many stories like my own that had a happy ending.

I was scheduled to see Shirley Love for a consultation. During our consult time she was very patient and listened to all my ideas, the things I liked and things I didn’t. We went through many pictures and discussed my “hair” options. When I walked into the shop I was a boring old mess of mid length frizzy layers with no real style; when I walked out of the shop I felt over the moon delighted freshly updated with a simple yet sophisticated cut. I LOVE the new me. No more pony tails and clips!! She has made a huge difference in my everyday and I just can’t thank her enough.

Everywhere I go people comment that my new look is is wonderful. I actually get double takes! My self esteem and confidence has been restored. My children and husband even like my new look, which is huge.

My hair needed a lot of corrective color to go from black cherry to blonde because I had used so much dark color in it on my own, but Tamara at Creative Colors did it with ease. She came up with some custom formulations for corrective color and I am extremely pleased with the result. My hair came out a perfect warm blonde and still looks super healthy. I'll definetly be going back throughout the summer for more. More than that, Tamara and the rest of the staff are so sweet and down to earth. If you want to be treated right this is the place to go.

I have lived in Reno for over a year and have gone to five different salons promising to give me a great hair cut. Each one failed. Then I randomly choose Creative Colours and found my hair stylist for LIFE! Without exaggerating they have the best everything. Best stylists, best hair products, best talent with the shears, best friendly people, best place to go hang out and talk while getting customized help. The owner did my hair and let me tell you, when you need a hairstyle to fit your face, attitude, personality, and style, they can't be beat! All I can say now is you definitely get more than your money's worth with these amazing ladies!

I first went to Tamara, now Healing Wizdom's owner, almost a decade ago. I was new to the world of waxing, skin care, etc., but I still knew I'd hit the jackpot. Tamara just has that special energy that makes every service, even waxing, feel healing. I have since moved out of the area, and can now say with certainty that Tamara and Healing Wizdom are one of a kind. I always schedule a service when I'm in town.

The staff is very friendly and skilled. The job they did on my hair color might be the best I've ever had done. The dyes are rich in color, look natural, and don't fade for a long time. I was very happy with my service. The price, on the other hand, was pretty high. I paid about $135 ($5 + or -) for a haircut and color. When I sat in the chair, the hairstylist had lots of ideas about which colors to add, how to add them, etc. I knew this would add to the price (I was embarrassed to ask), but I was a little shocked at how expensive it was in the end. I guess my best advice is, if you're on a budget, have some chutzpah and ask how much these great ideas will cost so you won't be surprised in the end!

Tamara at Creative Colours has been my hairdresser for 8 + years. I have long layered haired and she is the only person I let touch it. I live in Incline Village up at the lake and I make the drive to Reno just to see her. In the 8+ years she has been styling my hair I have only let one other person cut it because I was on a trip; upon my return Tamara knew someone else had cut my hair. Tamara knows what she is doing, and she is always helpful and a joy to be with. The atmosphere at Creative Colours is always rejuvenating and I highly recommend them.

I am very satisfied with the cut and color I got at Creative Colours Hair Salon. I have long hair and am nervous about having it done. As a new client I found out that Shirley Love was definitely qualified to advise me and sensitive to my wishes and needs. I came away with much better hair! My visit was fun, relaxed and comfortable.
