I have been seeing Dr Chen and the onther Dr's and staff for about 11 years now and I continue to go back because of the care I have received throughout the year's and the willingness to listen to me and how the treatments and medications are working and also the no push attitude when it comes to my medication (opioids) they have suggested increasing the meds but have left the final pain management decision up to me and that alone shows volumes I their carritor.

So between dr chen and Terry Clausen I will continue to see alta pain for my pain solutions

All the doctors at Alta Pain clinic are helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and very caring. The only pain clinic i have gone to that has helped me get better and relieved some of my pain.

He is positive and willing to answer any questions. He cares about you and always remembers your past experiences and problems.

Dr Chen is just great. The whole staff is very professional and friendly at the same time. Dr Chen listens when you talk and he interacts worth you, he doesn't just have a blank stare. He is encouraging and supports all your goals you want to accomplish to attempt to get rid of pain in possible.

He is THE only Dr. who truly has helped me and has always listened. He goes far out of his way to provide a surgical intervention, rather than a pharmaceutical intervention. That has made ALL the difference. I would not recommend any other "Pain Mngmt" Dr. and never have. I have been in chronic pain since my early twenties due to a congenital spinal defect. Had I not found Dr. Chen, I can truly say, I wouldn't be here today. I was told back in 2002 I would be on Oxycontin AND Methadone for THE rest of my life! I, very thankfully refused, though I found myself in such excruciating pain, honestly, I felt life was no longer worth living. Dr. Chen was literally my last attempt at finding relief so I had SOME quality of life. I thank God daily that He brought me to Dr. Chen who has been an answer to prayers for real relief from chronic pain and for an approach that is not SOLELY based on a pharmaceutical approach! He & his staff have made all the difference for me and my family. God Bless!

Dr. Chen is very good at what he does. Injections give me relief from pain. Dr. Chen explains things to me so I completely understand my options.

Dr. Chen takes such great care and always answers our questions. He has helped me feel so much better with his procedures he performs. He truly cares about my feelings and is always going above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chen going on 8 years now. I see him for chronic pain and in the past when working with other Dr’s they more or less make me feel as if it was all in my head or I was less than because I required pain medication to function. Dr. Chen has never made me feel this way, and has always been open to hearing my idea on things and takes the time to explain them to me and together we come up with a plan. Before Dr Chen I would say that I had been to 10 Drs in 6 years, and now that I’m going on 8 years at Alta Pain Physicians I feel as if I’m part of the family!!

Dr. Chen is a kind, warm-hearted man who also knows exactly what he’s doing. With years of experience he is able to put you at ease and help you through any procedure, surgery, and consultation calmly and confidently. You are in phenomenal hands with Dr. Chen as your caring provider. He clarifies what he is going to do to help your pain and insists on knowing how you are healing. Exceptional care and knowledge; everything you hope for in a health care professional.

Dr Chen was fantastic and always listen to me and took such great care to explain what he was doing and one of the best doctors I’ve ever had I will surly miss him he is a diamond of a doctor and will do his very best to help you through your pain
